Savuti Camp

Place: Savuti is set on the productive Savute Channel – a refuge for a variety of wildlife and a fascinating natural phenomenon. When dry, it is a rich feeding ground and corridor between the mopane woodlands for both plains game and predators. When the waters flow, game congregates around it in numbers. Activities include day and night game drives, guided nature walks (seasonal and subject to the availability of a qualifed walking guide) and boating (water levels permitting). Accommodation: Seven canvas-and-thatch tents (including one family unit) and main area extend outwards on raised decks, facing the Savute Channel. A log-pile hide and a sunken hide provide unique settings to watch wildlife at the water’s edge. Two nearby Star Beds – Southern Cross and Orion – offer the experience of an exciting sleep-out under the stars.As of 01 August 2020, the camp configuration will change to a total of six tents (including one family unit).Purpose: Savuti provides support to research projects and initiatives in the Linyanti, particularly with regards to the enormous elephant herds and their impact on the environment. Rooms

Standard Tent(s)

There are six twin-bedded tents. Mattress converters are available to transform the twin beds into king-size beds. As of 01 August 2020, the camp configuration will change to a total of five twin-bedded tents.There is one pilot/guide tent which is not of the same standard as guest accommodation.

Family Tent

There is one family unit with two inter-leading bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and entrance.
