If you’ve ever dreamed of sipping crisp wine and sampling farm-fresh cheese on the Italian countryside, this experience is for you. It’s a 10-day luxury culinary escape to Rome, Siena, Florence, and Tuscany.

Begin your culinary adventure at Campo de Fiori market, where you’ll encounter a bright display of Italy’s colorful produce. Then head to a historic bakery for some typical roman pizza “Taglio al forno” and suppli (fried rice balls). Taste authentic aged parmesan and fine balsamic vinegar.

Then, tour two different wineries in Siena, with lunch in between, and you may even enjoy a lovely Tuscan picnic dinner on the countryside. Explore local dairy farms where you can taste fresh, wholesome ingredients like local Pecorino cheese.

Learn how to prepare a Tuscan meal in a small group cooking class, then venture into the Chianti region where you can taste the area’s famous wines and olive oil. Then, of course, no tour of Italy would be complete without a visit to the Emilia-Romagna region, where you can visit Bologna, a city for which the famous Bolognese sauce is named. This tasting tour of local sauces, cheeses, wine, and ingredients is a sensory experience you won’t soon forget.

Day 1

On arrival after clearing passport control and customs, collect your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by a Luxury Trips representative for your road transfer to Hotel Navona where you will stay for two nights.

Situated in the heart of the historic centre, Hotel Navona Roma enjoys a privileged position only a few steps from Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo de’ Fiori and the other main tourist attractions in the Eternal City, all within walking distance. Stay at Hotel Navona and immerse yourself in history. This historic 15th century building stands on the site of the Baths of Agrippa,, the first bath complex in the city, which was built by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and opened in 12 BC.

The hotel has been completely refurbished, while retaining aspects that reflect the glorious past of the Eternal City. Several rooms feature frescoed ceilings, and ancient Roman bricks are still visible in the communal areas.

Day 2

After breakfast, make your way to your half day small group tour market tour.

The tour starts in Campo de Fiori market, Rome’s historic food market. At the market, observe the Roman ritual of shopping. There is always a bright display of wonderful Italian produce on show. Then onto a historic bakery for some typical roman pizza 'Taglio al forno' in a historic bakery and suppli (fried rice balls). The local guide will take you to his favorite Italian delicatessens to sample Roman’s favorite pecorino cheese, delicate buffalo mozzarella and salty aged prosciutto. In a traditional Roman tavern, you will be invited to relax and enjoy the typical Italian hospitality.

There will be samplings of pasta, aged parmesan, balsamic vinegar and other typical dishes of Roman cuisine. Throughout there will be prosecco and local wines to try. The tour concludes in Roman style with a gelato in one of the city’s best gelaterias followed by a hot espresso to wake you up after all that fantastic eating!

Afternoon and evening free to discover at your own pace and leisure the wonders of Rome.

Day 3

After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for your full day tour of to Siena and Frances Lodge where you will stay for one night.

Along the way your guide will stop in the Brunello wine region where you will visit a winery and enjoy lunch paired with a Brunello wine tasting.

After lunch, you will have time to visit the hill town of Montalcino, and a second organic wine winery.

Following the tour, the guide will bring you to your hotel where the evening will be yours at leisure.

Frances lodge stands in an area called Santa Regina that takes its name from a little church that was built as a small convent in the year 1200. This has always been one of the most beautiful parts of the countryside outlying Siena, and it is here that, since the start of the 18th century, noble families of Siena kept their “villa”—the country house where they summered from May to November, to get away from the heat of the city and to watch over the harvests from their farm holdings: vegetables in late spring, fruit in early summer, grain in July, grapes picked in September, and olives in November. Frances lodge's Villa or at least its oldest part, was built in 1729 and has belonged to the same family for nearly three centuries.

Day 4

Today you will embark on a full day small group tour of Pienza. This charming village is widely known as the "ideal city of the Renaissance", the creation of the great humanist Enea Silvio Piccolomini who later became Pope Pius II. Piccolomini had the money and influence to transform his birthplace village, the humble Corsignano, into what he considered the Utopian city should be, exemplifying the principles and philosophy of classical times and of the great Italian Renaissance. Thus, Pienza became the realization of a dream!

After Pienza you’ll make your way to a local dairy farm for a wholesome and refreshing lunch based mainly on the fresh ingredients produced on the farm. Here you will taste the local Pecorino cheese, visit the farms animals and learn about the lifestyle of the area. Lunch will be served on a panoramic terrace, weather permitting (included)

In the afternoon visit one of the biggest of the Tuscan hill towns, Montepulciano. This town was at first under the dominance of the medieval Siena and then under the renaissance Florence, here you can recognize the influences of both towns in its architecture and art. The town is located on a steep hill overlooking the amazing views of the Tuscany – Umbria border. Visit the main square, Piazza Grande, and explore one of the many old wineries carved out of the ground below the city.

You will then be brought to Agriturimso Marciano where you will stay for two nights.

Day 5

Today you will have the day to discover the real secrets of the renowned Tuscan cuisine with a hands on cooking class joining a small group (only other 4/5 guests). Learn how to prepare a full Tuscan meal, and sit down to enjoy it in a most friendly and convivial environment!

The afternoon will be yours at leisure to relax and enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Day 6

Today after breakfast, meet your driver in the lobby of your hotel for your private road transfer to Florence and Dimora degli Angeli where you will stay for three nights.

Along the way you will make a stop at the enchanting middle age village of San Gimigiano, and exploring a bit the Chianti region- With wine and olive oil tastings!

3-minute walk from the Gothic Duomo di Firenze, this refined B&B set in a 19th-century building is also an 8-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery and a 12-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station.

Day 7

After breakfast embark for your 3-hour private guided tour of Florence.

Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region and birthplace of the Renaissance, is home to masterpieces of art and architecture. One of its most iconic sites is the Florence Cathedral, with its terra-cotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and bell tower designed by Giotto. The Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David,” while the Uffizi Gallery exhibits preeminent works such as Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.”

Following your tour your guide will bring you back to your hotel where the remainder of the day will be yours at leisure.

Day 8

Today you will set out to discover yet another incredible culinary region- the Emilia Romagna- a direct train will take you in less than an hour to the wonderful city of Bologna, were you will enjoy a private tour that will combine history, art, and the tasting of some of the local products and sauces that this region is famous for!.

In the afternoon/evening return to Florence to rest after this wonderful day in your cozy room overlooking the Duomo.

After breakfast, board your direct train to Rome where you will be met and transferred to Hotel Navona where you will stay for one night.

The day will be yours at leisure to explore the city and in the evening enjoy an unforgettable goodbye dinner with a tasting menu at one of the wonderful Michelin starred restaurants in Rome!
